Estate Management

We manage two 12 acre estates in the South of England.  These estates each have their own individuality, requiring different gardening techniques, but both styles of management have to offer the clients an exceptional finish to their gardens.

Both estates have large formal lawns, flower beds and extensive hedges, which need regular maintenance in order to keep them looking in perfect condition.

Herbaceous Borders
Herbaceous Borders
This photograph shows Taxus hedges, which are clipped once a year, planted borders containing a selection of herbaceous plants, offering colour throughout the season and freshly mown lawns, which add to the formality of this section of the garden.
Small Formal Lawns
Here we have two raised lawns, with Buxus cones on each corner. The Buxus are regularly clipped to keep their shape and the lawns are fed, using a controlled release fertiliser, to keep them looking healthy.

In this border, we have Hydrangea, with low herbaceous planting next to the path. The plants are all fed each year to encourage maximum flowering times.
Fruit & Vegetable Cages
We manage the planting, pruning and yearly maintenance of crops within two cages. Traditional gardening methods are implemented in these sections and with good plant husbandry, there is no need for application of pesticides and herbicides, therefore producing high quality organic fruit.
